The Journal of Psychological Abnormalities is an Open Access publication that aims to publish the most in-depth and cutting-edge research from reputable sources on discoveries and recent advancements in the form of original articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, and more in all areas of the field and make it freely accessible online to researchers around the world without any restrictions or subscriptions.

An editorial tracking system is used by the journal to ensure review quality. Members of the editorial board of the journal or outside expert’s peer-review the submitted articles; acceptance of any citable manuscript necessitates the consent of at least two independent reviewers, followed by editor consent. Authors are able to submit manuscripts and follow their development through the EM system until publication. Reviewers have access to manuscripts and can give the editor feedback. Editors supervise each step of the submission, review, revision, and publication processes.

Two guiding principles served as the foundation for the multidisciplinary journal The Journal of Psychological Abnormalities: to spread the newest, most exciting research on psychological disorders. Second, to review and publish the articles as quickly as possible while allowing unrestricted use of the articles for reference, research, and instruction.

The Fast Editorial Execution and Review Process (FEE-Review Process), which Journal of Psychological Abnormalities participates in, entails an additional prepayment of $99 over and above the usual article processing fee. Fast Editorial Execution and Review Process is a special service for the article that enables it to receive a review from the reviewer as well as a quicker response from the handling editor in the pre-review stage. The corresponding author or institution/organization is responsible for paying for the manuscript FEE-Review Process. Regular article publication involves formatting the article in a variety of ways for online publication, securing full-text inclusion in a number of permanent archives like HTML, XML, and PDF, and submitting the article to various indexing services.

The Journal of Psychological Abnormalities is run by IOMC SL, a self-supporting business that does not accept financial assistance from any institutions or authorities.

As a result, handling fees collected from authors and a few academic/corporate sponsors are used exclusively to fund the Journal's operations. The handling charges are necessary to pay for the journal's maintenance.

The articles in the Journal of Psychological Abnormalities are available online without a subscription because it is an Open Access journal.
